Chromatus

“The soil ripe with tint
We pulled up handfuls of dust
The colour of summers
The colour of hunger and
Compassion and risks"

Chromatus celebrates the life and art of Steve Hajnoczky by featuring a cover with an eyeSnowScape photo made by him and Helen Hajnoczky. Read more about their work together here. Each copy of Chromatus (in each printing) has a different photo from that eyeSnowScape series, making each copy unique.

This chapbook was originally created for the May 2018 Woolf’s Voices at Shelf Life Books, where Steve Hajnoczky and Helen Hajnoczky showed their artworks.

Helen Hajnoczky’s poem Chromatus responds directly to the eyeSnowScape series, imagining the photos as topographical pictures of a distant, technicolor world called Chromatus.

Copies are available on their own, as part of the eyeSnowScape ?! Press Pack, or as part of the Canzine ?! Press Pack.
